Latest update:FCDO no longer advises against all but essential travel to areas of Mozambique. FCDO continues to advise against all travel to some areas of Cabo Delgado province and against all but essential travel to some areas of Cabo Delgado and Nampula provinces ('Warnings and insurance’ and ‘Safety and security' page).
For a correct perspective, Ponta do Ouro is in the lower right corner of the country. The distance from there to the red area is the same as from London to Moscow or from Munich to Aleppo in Syria.
